Hi –
I’m trying to install an 8″ wide piece of finish trim that needs to have a 55 degree angle bevel cut on both ends. My miter saw, table saw, skill saw, etc all only go to 45 degree bevel cuts. I’ve been looking for a 55 degree chamfer router bit to no avail. Any other ideas? I’m probably overlooking the obvious!

PBM,
Try a hand saw, belt sander, or angle grinder with sanding disk.
Or, if you're up for it, use a spacer block under the table on your skilsaw to increase the bevel angle. Or use a spacer block under the stock, on the mitersaw. Just be very careful with these ideas if you don't feel comfortable with your tools, one of those "for professionals only" tips.
Or get a skilsaw that will bevel to 60 degrees. I have an 8" Skil that will do this, not the best saw but great for just that task.

Thanks!
Cut both end square first(saw set a 0°) and then set your saw at 35° and run the table of the saw along the cuts you've just made.
35° will cut your 55° angle because it's the compliment and totals 90°.
Is thus a piece of 1x8 your talking about?
It is 1x8. THanks!
Ever hear of a hand saw? You may want to make a practice cut or two just to get your chops down. It's funny how lost we can get when a machine won't do the job.
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
