I would like to have couple of 7 gallon plastic buckets to mix drywall compound and thinset in. I had a few in the past, but they seem to have gotten away from me.
Looking online, it seems I would have to buy a pallet.
So my question is, does anyone know of a product that comes in 7 gal pails? Maybe something I could use, or give to someone, all I’m after is the bucket.

I bought a beer brewing kit a few yrs ago, the fermenting bucket is 7 gals..maybe try a local micro brewery?

Seems like it would be a "Heck" of a lot easier to just remove a portion of the taping compound to another bucket if you're skeered it's gonna go over the top.
I mostly use a potato masher type mixer so I can do full buckets with no problem.
Thinset I mix in 3.5 leftover tile mastic buckets and rarely mix more than a 1/2 a bucket or so at a time. You a really fast tile setter or are you feeding a crew?

Actaully, I do the thinset and grout in the smaller buckets most of the time myself.
The truth is that it is easier to stand back up after sitting on the 7 gallon buckets.

So what came first, the bird, or the seed?
I've always wondered.

Ain't that the truth.
Maybe that's why I'm not big on long lunches like some guys are.

Some horse supplements come in 7 gallon buckets. Check some of the local barns.
Rich
That might work, I know a girl who has horses.
Check commercial swimming pools. Some of their chemicals come in buckets that are the same diameter as the usual 5 gallon type, but somewhat taller. Whether they're 6 or 7 gallon, I don't know.
I wonder what happens to all the buckets that these places use. I know some go to scrounges like me, but I bet most get tossed.
I actually read a story years ago about some guy down in Mexico building houses outta empty joint compound buckets. Can't remember the details now.
