Seeks imput! I’m really wanting both a wormdrive and a 8 1/4,, so why not kill two birds? We have a 10″ bigfoot,, and several sidewinders,, and I’d like to add an 8 1/2 wormdrive to the roster. Any thoughts? I know they’re kind of antiquated,, but I need the depth every now and then for timberframing,, and also and doing alot of spayed stairs, and always have to borrow an alternate tilt machine.
Thanks!

I own a Skil modeled on the old 77, heavy tilts to 60 deg IIRC.
Sold as a Rafter saw .
Great for when you need the depth and tilt, other than that I leave it sit. Too heavy for day in day out use for me anymore.

I have a Milwaukee model 6378.

The thing sure has balls - You can't hardly stop it.
I put a Freud blade in it, and it sure makes good cuts. It breezes right through pretty much anything.
.
Only two things about it that might be downsides -
The base bent when it got dropped once, and it's hard to square back up perfectly.
It's heavy. But I guess most all worm drives are.
Still, I don't think you could go wrong with it.
Thanks guys! I'm not in a rush,, but need this in the roster. Then the next one is the biggy! 16" or so? Might get some armour for the big one! I handle the 10" happily,,,
