8 mil versus 4 mil cross laminated
I’ve seen many references to using the Tu-Tuff 4 mil cross laminated product for sealing crawls.
But how does that compare to the 8 mil poly sheeting I can get from the lumberyard?
Is the only way to know to get the specs?? Because I’m not sure the yard could come up with them (at least, not easily).
The 8 mil is cheaper (20×100, $79, no shipping). Tu-Tuff (12×100 $114 plus shipping).
Any thoughts??
Thanks.

Never used either.
We like to use 6 mil reinforced poly in 20x100. It is readily available from a couple of spots. Don't know the price. Brutally strong stuff.
