Need to make a bunch of access panels for a sheetrocked basement ceiling…. to get to j-boxes, valves, etc. Something that looks presentable, don’t cost too much, quick to make?

Go to lowes. They have some nice (relative term) panels in the plumbing section. They come in two sizes 6x9, 14x14.
The panels are paintable and really do hide well in the ceiling.
I'll second that recommendation--I used these in my basement and they look great and were super easy to install. Supposedly the flange/bezel part is reversible so you could install it behind the drywall and with proper fill & finish only the seam around the door panel would be visible. I didn't bother with this, but it's an option if you're looking for something that's nearly invisible.
