We had a 5-panel (abt 11 ft) accordion or folding door installed between the living room/dining room & our screen porch about 7 years ago. We absolutely love it. It is by Jeld Wen & customized to open with the doors sitting on the inside vs outside due to space consideration. The door is wood with an aluminum clad exterior. We had it installed with an ADA sill so it is relatively flat & if you step on it, it doesn’t hurt your foot. It also minimizes or eliminates any tripping hazard. Haven’t had any problems with it & various contractors, home inspectors we’ve had at the house always comment that it is a very nice door & much nicer than ones they’ve seen in other homes. The cost 7 years ago was approximately $20,000 for just the door, so not including installation.
