Next week, I’ll be adding a course of block under an existing garage.
The existing sill is sitting on a block foundation only about two inches above grade and the sill and bottom of the studs are rotten.
I’ll be jacking the walls, cutting the studs, adding a course of block, slipping in a new p.t. sill and setting the wall back down again.
My question is: how do I anchor the sill to the new course of block? I could grout the block solid and drill through the sill and into the concrete to set epoxy bolts or all thread in anchoring cement but I’m hoping for something faster.
Has anybody done this? any tips?

I would jack the wall first. Then I would repair the wall and add the new sill. My next step would be to drill the sill and buy enough J-bolts to anchor the wall. As I set the new course of block I would use the sill to hold the bolts. I would also try to tie the new block to the old.
