adding zone to hot water system

Thinking of adding a zone to upstairs master bedroom and bath. Am going to use existing 1 zone and convert to a 2 zone. The 3 bedrooms are too much for 1 zone and the temperature difference in each room is about 10 degrees. Going thru closets to make return and supply runs. Can pex be used in this application? Any ideas what a plumber would charge for this? Live in southeastern Mass.
