   Some serious flashing detailing and for some reason I'm thinking make it acceptable to movement.

   Depending on your city or county, the building department might surprise you with the extent of their requirements, and for good reason. 

   I have been pleasantly surprised to see a number of nice looking mobile homes set over a full basement with two car garages built on one side and a few doormers to camoflage what it really was.  There are builders that stay busy doing nothing but.

   Personally, I'd pass on the project unless no corners were cut and the mobile home was to be set on a foundation.

   For resale value, it might be better to build the addition as a stand alone mini house and use the trailerhouse as some kind of addition.  At least where I'm from, once a trailerhouse, always a trailerhouse even if it's put on a foundation, with no chance to get a deed regardless of how much is added on.   The difference a deed makes over a title can be quite significant, everything else being equal.

   Thanks for the reply,I am past the point of no return though.I am going to put an addition on this thing.I have footings in and am waiting for the walls to be poured next.My only concern is the raising and lowering of the floating home with the frost,as a opposed to the foundation being stationary.But,with the home and foundation both being  on a dry gravel base,I'm tempted to believe that travel from frost heaving will be minimal.My fingers are crossed!
