I’m planning an addition to a cabin that will function for a few years as a workshop. (I mean the addition will function as a workshop.) I had assumed that I would lay down a single layer of 3/4 ACX, paint it with deck paint and have that serve as the floor for a while. However, BTers seem to be enthusiastic about Advantech as a subfloor — what about using it as a “finish” floor?

To me...being that in my additions I used Advantech on all the subfloors...Its friggin "bullet and waterproof".
One of the most amazing products I've ever used.
I'm not sure about painting it.I can't see why not..with an epoxy paint and eventually go over it with wide plank flooing like I'll be doing in a few weeks.
You certainy can call Advantech and ask a rep.
BE floored

I'd be confident in using it too, especially with paint on it.
