Advice on Hvac for large sealed room
I’m several months away from this and have a HVAC guy helping me who I can consult when I get there but I wanted to get some heads up info on this. I am building a house which will include a media/theater room. The room is 374 sq ft. Heres my dilemna. This room will have no windows and the entrance door which comes from an ajoining room will be a sealing door in order to keep any light from entering the room.
So I have a large sealed room. What is the best way to run the hvac into this room? Am guessing I should put a vent as well as a return in there? The only thing that concerns me about this would be the noise levels of the air return. My other idea would be to put the air return in the equiptment closet which is 5×7′. Then have some sort of vent between that closet and the theater. This way cold air enters the theater and gets sucked into the closet and out the return, keeping the electronic equipt cool at the same time.
Would something likethis work? For those that do this for a living how would you handle a tightly sealed room like this?
Thanks

how many people do you intend to house in this room at a time?
10 cfm per person. If you're doing more than, say, 6 or so, I'd split it into two supplies and two exhausts.
If you're doing balanced exhaust though, you should be using heat exchange of some kind. I assume rooms other than this one need ventilation?

generally speaking on average there would only be 2-3 people. But i'll have seats for 6-8 but that would be rare having that many people in there i think.
