I need to replace about 15′ of an old, two wire drop from a house to a garage, that got trashed in the freak storm here in Buffalo.
The existing was basically two bare wires….
What sort of cable & strain relief should I use, & how should I transition to it…
I’ll try and post a pic of the existing later today
thanks…

Dig a trench and bury it. Underground feeder wire unless you want to run PVC. Aerial is so passe', plus, since new insulations have been developed it makes a lot more sense.
How big is the circuit? with two wires I'd figure it was only a 20 amp 120 volt. if it was other than that, then the installation was not a good one.
