What are they doing offering these prices and I’m always late seeing they are then out of stock?
Are these just attention getters to tease you into looking closer?
They ought to offer them first to old customers if all they want to do is sell them.
LIMIT 4 PLEASE!!!. Gimmie a break, all I want is one and they can’t even provide that after advertising.
Now some ebayer gets all his /her networked friends and relatives to buy four for him so he ends up with a couple hundred sets and he’ll sell them on the internet for $70 plus shipping.
Keep that shid up and people will start blacklisting the company and refuse to buy no matter how good the price.
be Ya, I’m pizzed off a bit

Raz, if you think you're gonna get quality router bits for $2 each, then you're nutty as a fruitcake.

Rez,
Take an asprin, relax, and buy some decent router bits.
By them as you need them and it won't be so painful.
I don't know guys, I'm thinking these were worth 14bucks. C'mon, whatta want?

They are real. They were in a big box from Makita the other day when I was in there. He does not buy this stuff by the trainload. Mark buys the deals he thinks he can sell. Sometimes the doors get blown off. He does need to purge the site a little more often. The site is a one man show and many times when I have been by the store Mark was out making deliveries of plumbing and elec stuff. Give them a break.
Bob
One man show eh? I apologize. Really. In fact, hat's off to the guy.
Still wish I could have got one of those tho'.
I mean being a repeat customer and all.
Think I might be still able to get one?
Iff'n you put in a good word and all?

I went to Amazon.com to see if they had a similar deal on those router bits but they cost $ 99.99, dam that was a good deal at 15.00!
I will talk to him tomorrow. Take a look at this for 34.99. (plus an extra 10% off, still get free shipping and no tax. Also avail in 1/4" shank. Amazon. Twelve piece $16 and change. I just got the pictured set, well worth the $.

The other post was to both you and Imerc. His for "these can't be real" and you for the other. The total operation is not a one man show, as I have put in here several times they are a local Elec and Plumbing house that started carrying tools for the local trade guys. Mark does the buying, computer stuff (all the HDT site), and the rest of the family helps ship, etc. Great folks.

I tried to call Mark today and he was out on a delivery, not expected to be back until after closing. Could have called his cell but no use to bug him and he might not have up to minute inventory in his brain. Noticed J. Tracy said they were back in stock on the panel raising door set.
Bob
Dude, if you call, like the other fella said.......can ya find me a Milwaukee radio?
Fer $49 I would be in orbit....damn things cost over 400 clams here. ( and no I cant order direct from amazon cos they wont ship lectrical goods.
PLUS, most makita stuff made in china now so those bits are likely to be POS and worth sactly what ya gonna pay for them.
No, that aint right.....they gonna be worth less than what ya pay for them. Buy pricey German ones and have them fer years.
Whatever it was.................I didnt do it.
400clams?
Man AJ, you ever think about loading a shipping crate here in the states for resale back in yer land?
'Nemo me impune lacesset'No one will provoke me with impunity
Oh man, that's ok. I wasn't really fried out over the thing. More of a something to do rag at the time and decided to beef up the lingo a bit is all.
Got to hand it to the guy tho. There have been so way sweet deals going on it so he sure must me doing something right to be able to continue the way he does.
Thanks for the thought.
Cheers

Went by HDT yesterday. Mark said he had 60 more coming and some more of the door kits also. Use the contact thing on their site and ask him to hold one for you. He still had a very similar Hickory set (without the pretty wood box ) there he would probably substitute.
Bob
Cool beans. Thanks View Image

Anytime. If you e-mail HDT tell "Poor Boy" (Mark) that "Rich Man" (Bob Smith)sent you. That is what he calls me when I go in.
Bob
wish I'd known. Already sent it in. :o)
be the early bird catches the bits

as of 10 minutes ago, the 6 piece sets were in stock. i ordered two.
if someone wants to buy one, send me an email. i'll keep the $14.00 price plus shipping from Minooka, IL. (you name the carrier and i'll get a quote)
they also had the milwaukee radio in stock for $50 again like they did a few weeks (maybe a month or two) ago
on a side note, i ordered a bosch impact driver last summer from them last summer. Ordered on a wednesday afternoon - it was at my office on friday afternoon. The case came cracked and with a broken latch. All it took was a phone call to Mark to get a replacement case. I had the replacement case the day after I talked to him.
You can't beat their service or the prices.
I'm still showing the router bits as out of stock:

I don't need a radio.

I gotta agree. Besides, he gives good service. I ordered a Bosch 3915 SCMS from him a couple weeks back. Got it for $287 out the door, delivered in 4 days. Can't beat that.
Jason
yeah but they're 1/4" shank and do you need all at once?
I know, you like me, like to buy stuff if it's discounted enough even if you do not have an immeadiate need...
but let this one go, you probably have many other things you could be angry about, this doesn't seem worth getting the blood pressure up is all
I seem to recall a scene in I believe it was 'The Christmas Story' where the old workman is walking down the street as the husband/dad drives up next to him and about all the workman can say is 'it's the principle of the thing'.

I agree with you, Principals are important, on the other hand, focusing on the wrong principles can lead to excess aggervation and maybe a heart attack
Be not having a heart attack...

Well call em up tomorrow and ask if they can get you one. While you're on the phone, can you ask if they got any of those Milwaukee radios with the free drill bit and shipping for $49.00 for me?
I think these guys are missing the point. Sheeze, for $14 it is worth trying them out...if they weren't out of stock.
Just because they're $2 a piece doesn't mean they're junk. The Law of Clearance applies here.
Don't suppose you want to know that Amazon has them for $99?

I bought one set - they'll make an excellant kit to keep near the laminate trimmer. Plus - of all small sets I've seen - it has the best asst. of usable profiles.Back to the original complainer...I think the email list is the first chance to get these deals when they happen - I got the email Sun. am and bought immediately - checked Sun PM and they were out of stock.I also picked up the 3 pc. Carbide tipped cabinet makers set that they were offering for $44 shipped - also Makita - sells at Amazon for $149.Just rcd that set in the mail and they are very nicely made - seem like good quality. For all of those here that might say it can;t possibly be good quality if it's so cheap - you guys can't possibly be deal hunters - you must choose to go to the local yard and pay $18.50 for a 1/4" carbide ogee profile and that's what makes you think it's high quality...For those that missed out - when HDT notified me via email of the cabinet maker's $44 deal, I immediately bought a set and then posted the deal on the BT3 bargain forums as well as the Woodnet forums and within an hour HDT was out of stock. That was a few days ago - I just checked earlier today, and they are back in stock, so you might check over the next few days and maybe they'll pop up for you.Everything I've bought from HDT has had free shipping and arrived to MI within 2-3 days.Great company with some amazing deals here and there - get on their list!JT
I don't know guys, I'm thinking these were worth 14bucks.
That purdy case worth $14 alone!

Stay regular on their web site. They have a tab for special and sales. Cruise that instead of waiting for the email. I think they only send out the email when stock is getting low and they want to go ahead and get rid of it.
