I'm thinking ours is Amana. Had the current unit for 8-10 years now. No problems in that time. Efficiency is good. Can hardly hear it running.
Is it actually made by Amana?
I have seen so many brands that were made by other companies, but the the selling company name on it.
I'm not familliar with Amana, just posing a question I think needs to be asked.
Not sure about the AC, but Amana furnaces are made by Goodman.
If your view never changes you're following the wrong leader
Goodman and Amana are almost exactly the same in my experience.
Some love Goodman, some are ambivalent, and some hate them. I have a Goodman heat pump on my house and I have zero complaints. We use Goodman on some of our jobs.
I would take a properly installed Goodman/Amana over a shoddily installed Trane or Carrier.
