to the best of my recollection - 200 series does not come in as many sizes and options (colors, grills, etc) as the 400. think the U values are pretty similar though.
I seem remember, at our lumber yards customer appreciation dinner, the Andersen rep. explained that in the 200 series, some, or all, of the clad parts are made of a wood composite that andersen has developed.

At first glance, they look the same. I did a price comparison on a budget job this spring and I think the 400 was a bout $17 more per window. that is what we ordered. I've never used the 200 series.
Excellence is its own reward!
Another thing to be aware of is that 200 series double hungs do not open the whole way. It's a nuisance.
I think the cost is maybe, 70 bucks a d.h. on average for 400 series. Its worth it.
