In the July issue the T of C, Cross Section, “Farewll to pressure-treated lumber”.
Ain’t so, as the two articles inside correctly say pressure-treated lumber is not going away.
I have “jumped” on a couple of other people for using this term.
I think that all builders need to be careful of differentiating between “pressure-treated” and CCA.
Or all of the customers are going to be hearing that pressure-treated lumber has a problem.
So the deck builder will have to do a much bigger job of educating them that the question was not the pressure-treatment, but the chemical.

Hi, Bill-
Good point, and a heads up for all of us that build with PT to differentiate to those that need to know. Of course, it is always a conscientious builder's responsibility to educate those he/she works with as well as customers.
