I install a lot of kitchens and one thing that drives me crazy is when I have to insert an angle filler between two base cabinets. The angles are usually 22.5 or 45, that is if the wall angle corresponds to what it should be. No matter what, I can figure the proper angle. My problem is how to hold the filler in place so it can be properly attached. I have searched for years for some type of adjustable clamp that will do the job but to no avail. I guess if Bessy or Pony havent developed one there are none available.
When I install an upper corner cabinet I have developed a system that works real well. I simply put a block cut to 45 degrees inside the edge of the stile of the corner cabinet and I can get a perfect alignment with a clamp to the adjacent cabinet, direct pressure and perfect connection every time. I am sure the same theory will work for the base cabinets but I have yet to figure it out. I dont get many of these situations so I havent followed up on how to figure it out. Right now I am in that situation and on top of that I have two fillers that have to be inserted to make the 90 degree turn.
Any advice out there?
