Here’s another DY plumbing tale ! My bath sink cold water side leaked so often that I kept the tools inside the cabinet under the sink.. the main shut was the only way to stop the water, my house was 112 years old, so any way one night i decided to change the faucet washers because it was a steady stream flowing. After changing the first set of washers it still was leaking without any change, so there i go to the basement to shut the water off. After several times of going up and down to shut the water off and the washers too and the faucet seats, the water still was flowing at a steady stream. finding out that the faucet next to the one i was changing the washers was left slightly open.!!!!!!!!!!!!! end of story.

frustrating isn't it.
Kinda like tracing a problem to see why the TV won't turn on only to learn the breaker is popped, or the darn thing ain't even plugged in

Kind of like finding my wife's car keys this morning. She says she checked her purse 3x and looked everywhere for an hour. I finally checked her purse myself, you know that side compartment ... hey dear, do your keys look like this??
I've lost my car keys many times by reaching into the fridge for a beer and leaving the keys on the shelf, LOL.

Just grab them when you get that beer for the road.
Years ago I'm getting ready to go to work, walk out into the foyer of our condo and I can hear my neighbors wife cursing and slamming kitchen drawers in their unit. I can just make out her saying to herself that her GD husband has taken her keys. I look at their doorknob, smile and knock on their door. She opens the door, clearly impatient and askes what I want. I just smile and point at her keys in the door lock. It was priceless, she knew I'd heard everything she'd said.
I once spent half a day trying to figure out why the electric wall heater in the bathroom wouldn't work, having forgotten that I'd put a line switch in the circuit. Turn switch on - heater works! Amazing, this modurn wurld.
Rewired living room a few weeks back. Wires through hot attic. TIRED. Flipped the breakers on and tried the ceiling fan switch. Nothing. Sat and stared at it a few minutes contemplating which end of the circuit I begin disassembling and checking. Quality control (wife) walks through and tugs on the chain pull. DOH! Good thing she was home.
