Any one care to offer opinions on “Reclaim” paint for cabinets?
I have a customer who is inquiring about using this “Reclaim” paint offered by HSN. Never heard of it myself and I thought some of you may have some personal experience or know if it is good, bad, or just like any other paint for they DIY kind. My initial thoughts were not good though. I tend be rather skeptical. Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads also!

I would be very skeptical myself. I couldn't find the MSDS or even an true description of composition of the paint. Excellent professional paint can easily be purchased in any nuber of colors for less. The reviews mentioned the paint is thick, which leads me to think it was formulated for brushing by lower skilled people. So, I doubt that it could be sprayed easily.
A lot of reviews were positive, but negatives were heavy on the colors themselves, and on the limited color choices.
I was kind of thinking the same about the brushing vs. spray. Plus, a large claim in not really needing proper preparation.
Generally, it sounds like a "refinisher" such as some of the Formby's products. But the claims made are too vague and general to be believable (Formby's are only slightly better, but at least they give you more details).
If I were looking for such a product I'd go with Formby's or another "name" brand.
No MSDS, it isn't designed for professionals
They don't have an MSDS readily available. So, it definitely a "pro grade" product.
The cost is quite high at about $130 per gallon with shipping.
Any product that claims to be a good refinishing product over polyurethane without sanding is full of bs. This is more of the crap aimed at diy types that attemps to skip as many steps as possible and come out with a professional finish, which it won't. Is it better than other products for a homeowner with little interest in learning the rather simple steps of doing a good refinish - that's hard to say. It's definitely not something I'd ever use or recommend over proven methods and materials.
