I would like to get a wet saw, (I am going to be needing one about 5 times this summer, so it the rent/buy calculations say buy….) mainly for thinner wall tile, and some floor work and I stumbled accross this
http://www.mkdiamond.com/tile/saw_370exp.html
I know the grinder motor will be slower and louder, but I do have patience and great ear protection…. I keep getting drawn back to the 33 pound weight, and the fact that it could be shipped to my door for 297….
I know I want to be able to diagonally cut a 12 inch tile, and I also know I dont plan on working on over 14 inch tile…
I do have a grinder with a diamond wheel, but I would like something to do multiple cuts.

I have the older 370...I've read the new and improved model is a good buy. That is for what you say you'll use it for (it's not a GREAT saw, but a good one for it's price).
If it doesn't come with the Hotdog blade, be sure you get it. A crappy blade makes this saw particularly worthless. And I've used the hotdog to cut 12" porcelain tile--not a bad gig.
I have a plain 370. Works well. Yes, it is loud. But it's not slow. Kepp a good blade on it, and it will cut ceramic, porcelain, stone and granite just fine. The small table is the only real problem with the older model.
I'm sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.
When it comes time to buy do a thorough online search.
I'd bought a mk100 a while back and before I'd ordered I checked with the HomeTeapot as they told me to bring in the paperwork and they'd see what they could do.
They then told me they couldn't come close to that price even without the extras the online merchant was throwing in.
That plus the sales tax was enough reason to buy online.
Sorry I don't recall the company but if you need it I know where the box is and I'll go dig it out.

these guys where super nice, we will see how soon I get it!
Buy it!!! I have the 370 EXP, use it often, and its a great saw. Great value for the money.
There are of course more expensive (and heavier) saws, but I've done several floors and tub surrounds with mine and it has met my needs everytime.
