We are looking to take our kitchen design work in house if possible. We are working at finding a supplier preferably one that is not currently represented in our area. So far the two that look reasonably attractive are Haas and Armstrong. Anyone have any experience with either product or company? Thanks! DanT

I've been an Armstrong dealer for about 4 days now. Just finished up paperwork and pricing and such at the factory showroom Friday. I think they're going to be a good fit for what we were looking for.
I've installed a few Armstrongs over the last couple years. The local cabinet shop sold them. He passed away and nobody picked up the dealership so I'm gonna take a run with it.
The ones I've used were the Allwood line. All plywood cases, solid wood faceframes, decent hardware.
I think they're a good company(factory is about 20 miles from me) and the company people that I've dealt with so far were top notch.
Best of luck.

Good to hear. I was concerned that they were so so cabinets with the Armstrong name on it. And of course it is good to hear you are happy with the people you have met. Like your site. Thanks again. DanT
When I was at their office I got to see the cheaper lines they have. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Cheapest is particleboard. Middle is mdf case, might not be too bad. I'm going to try to sell only the Allwood.Greg

Ok, good info. We have a cheap cabinet that I am reasonably happy with. Kitchen Kompact. For a cheap cabinet it isn't bad and they service it well. We sell those to land lords and such. Thanks again. DanT
i have armstrong cabinets , the cheaper ones, particle board boxes solid wood face frame solid maple doors. for the money they seem to be holding up well. main thing is proper installation. victor
Did they offer any design software? 20/20 or such? I was kind of hoping so but if not we could buy it at market (yuck!) price I guess. Thanks again for the info. And what about training? Do they offer any? I think the longer we go the more I will wear you out with thoughts. But now that you said you liked them I am getting excited about the oppurtunity. DanT

No. Their price list and catalog (specs, etc.) are supposed to be compatable with 20/20 but they in no way offered me the program.
I'm still looking for a good kitchen program. If you find a good one that doesn't require a mortgage payment let me know.
No offer of any training whatsoever.
No worries about questions. I'll answer what I can.Greg

Well, the software is a disapointment. I was hoping for a 20/20 discount. Not that I am cheap or anything. :-)
The training would have been a nice feather in the cap for a few of my guys, but not really needed. We already do it so shouldn't be a bunch different. Always nice to pick up a few tips though.
Big difference in price from what you were paying? I have been using Kraft Maid so I won't have a clear idea as to the actual net discount except over Kraft Maid of course.
What about samples? Doors, pieces parts? Again I appreciate it. DanT
I bought 2020 8 years ago when it was only $3000. It was a bite but I really like it for pricing. You don't make the mistakes you can make when you open the manufacturers price book. Yesterday I designed and priced 18 kitchens for 3 - 6 plexes. It took me about 3 hours and the price is exact. So no guessing on the estimate. I've heard 2020 is going for $4000 these days.
We carry Pacific Crest from Sumner, WA and Crystal from MN. Both are very nice and have a wide range of offerings. Crystal has the best quality.
List pricing is all I is all I have right now. I have to sell acouple kitchens before they will give me my multiplier. For now I have to get quotes from the factory rep. As far as the 20/20 price break, who knows. Every company rep might be different.
Samples must be priced by the reps. I was told a price that was alot different than what their marketing book says. There door samples and such are alot higher priced than I would've guessed. I do know they have co-op advertising available.
If you want details about pricing give me a call and I'll look it up in the book so you have something to compare.Greg

With the market being what it is right now I would think you could get just about any line.
Look into Kountry Kraft. We sell them a lot. Good cabinet with a wide range of price and quality as well as features.
