Getting conflicting accounts of the phone.
My Treo 650 was a big bust – great for data, terrible phone.
Nokia E60 has a file structure which drove me nuts for 3 days – then I gave it back.
Only data phone I have not tried on my service provider is the Ipaq 6515.

Not sure of wireless providers in Vancouver but are you sure it's the phone & not the provider?
not to further muddy your waters, but, have you seen this:

are you a Cingular customer ?
rumor has it that HP and Cingular are on slightly frigid terms right now and HP is going to sell this device on its own rather than in the mobile carrier's stores.
i don't know if that is true. this device is the latest in the line and is just coming to market.
i have read the reviews here:
http://www.cnet.com/
and I am considering buying one. i carry a Sony Palm based device and a Nokia cell phone and I am looking to replace with one device.
you didn't like the E60 ? that uses Symbian, yes ? what didn't you like about it ?

I'm a Rogers (once allied with AT&T). Cingular does not exist here.
I found the Nokia to be really a very difficult menu to navigate, and to go from standby to ready a "long" time.
Since I usually use the phone as a pda, I just cannot afford the time for the machine to wake up and have its coffee (the hard drive to become active). It became easier for me to pull out my paper diary and write everything down, then transfer it to the Nokia.

i would definitely consider the HP. i am probably going to get the 6940 because it has WM 5, WiFi and GPS.

I have just been on the HP website & they are bringing out the 6955 within the next month ... so I cancelled my immediate order from the service provider and I'll get the new phone when it shows up on the shelves.Quality repairs for your home.
