Lately I had to make a few sets of simple stair, rather than buying jigs or using my square I devised this jig.
Say you have a rise of 7″ and a run of 12″
1)I cut a scrap of ply to that dimension
2) Bisect the ply rectangle and attach a 1×4 on either side
Thats it, i use it to layout my treads and discard it when I am done. I wonder if there is something wrong with this method as others seem to be happier struggeling with a square?
