Some of you may be familiar with ASTM International, formerly known as the American Society for Testing and Materials. They publish technical standards and technical reviews for a wide variety of disciplines. I got their catalog today and noticed that they have a section on building and construction. I thought some of the books might be interesting for some of you.
Some of the titles include: “The use of Glass in Buildings”, “Moisture Analysis and Condensation Control in Building Envelopes”, “Manual on Moisture Control in Buildings”, “Lead Hazard Evaluation and Control in Buildings”, “Insulation Materials: Testing and Applications” and “Masonry Test Methods and Specifications for the Building Industry”.
Typically ASTM publications are quite technical and exhaustive…maybe they have an answer for venting attics.
