Looking for some advice on the best method to attach stairway landing to exterior 2×6 wall framing.
Currently have 3 landings (2×10 framing) that are spiked to the 2×6’s at exterior wall end and supported by floor framing at the other end. (Is that clear as mud?) I need to figure out a better method to support at the exterior wall.
I’ve posted a couple of previous questions and appreciate all the advice. I am neck -deep building a home for my family in upstate NY. 40 hours at the regular job, nights and weekends banging nails.
Thanks. Andy

Lag bolts?

Here at least nails/spikes won't pass an inspection. Lag bolts , preferrably into solid blocking (2- 2x or a 4x) secured between joists behind your rim joist.
