Attaching Storm door to PVC brick molding.
The customer has selected a fiberglass Jeld-wyn entry door.
In the interest of using the same type of product and something
that wouldn’t rot out over time, I was thinking of using PVC for the
jam extension and brick molding; however, I am concerned about
attaching a storm door to the brick molding for fear that it might tear
out over time.
All PVC components would be screwed in place.
Does anyone have any experience or thoughts to share?
Thanks in advance.

Time for Tapcons?
Drill thru the PVC and bolt the door to the brick with tapcons. It won't move anymore.
Good luck.
How does the storm door attach? If it has a metal frame that attaches all the way around with about 20 screws you shouldn't have a problem so long as you use appropriate fasteners.
