I am in the process of finishing an exterior remodeling project on a strip mall. I have to attach address signs, mail boxes and some other light wieght fixture to the new EIFS system. In the areas where the fixtures need to be attacted the EIFS system is a 2″ thick foam board attached to a brick and block wall.
The fixtures that are specified for the project all have exposed screws with a chrome and brushed nickel finish. I feel that I need to attach these fixtures directly into the brick and block wall to prevent them from pulling off of the wall. I can not find a fastener with a chrome or brushed nickel finish that is 3-1/2″ to 4″ long that I can fasten into masonry behind the EIFS system. I feel I need to have the fastener penetrate at least 1″ into the masonry perferabily farther.
Does anyone know where I can get this type of masonry fastener or is there another approach to this problem?
By the way, where is spell check for these post? I live by spell check.
Thanks Paul

Drill a 1 inch hole through the eifs and a 3/4 inch hole into the block. Inject some epoxy into the block hole and some in the eifs. Stuff a 5/8ths dowel into the hole and into the block. Paste up the dowel hole nice with some more epoxy.
Fasten as normal.
Adjust down the size of the holes or dowels as you deem fit for ease and non disruptiveness to the finished wall surface.
Drill through the foam and into the concrete, put in expansion bolts with coupling nuts installed flush with the finished wall surface. Caulk around the hole and install decorative machine screws to match the fixtures.
