We own a 1912 four square, balloon framed house with a hip roof. We are thinking about converting the attic space into an office and need help with venting issues. If we finish it off with sheetrock that will not allow the air to flow. There is currently only one skylight in very poor shape that we would replace. There doesn’t seem to be any other type of ventilation in the attic. Does this sky light vent the whole house when it is opened? Also if we were to insulate the space that would seem to restict air flow as well. There is currently decent insulation on the floor. Any suggestions?
