I own a 100+ yr house in centeral WI am removeing plaster and lath from interior wall for a number of reasons(lead paint,30 layers old wallpaper,redoing walls windows ect) I am interested in any opions on what to do with the back plaster on exterior wals. Back plaster is lath and plaster between studbays. The theory I think was to act as a wind barrier. My father used to remove it, his reason was to use the extra space for insulation (but he had six sons to do that ugly job) any thoughts one way or the other. thanks
