Hi Guys,
New to our area (Tamp Florida) is the requirement of a bback flow prevention valve in the supply line from the countycity water supply. Anyone have any experience with this such as making it look good when finally installed. The valve assembly is about 12″ long and must be installed 12″ above grade so having it in a “meter box” in the ground is not possible. I just am looking for a way to have it look aesthetically pleasing as it is located on the front corner of the home.
I agree with the concept of the code but am having trouble making it look good and not like the backside of a industrial building at the same time.
Thanks for any input.

Mike,
Here's an idea that takes time and might not even be possible in your area. A living fence. Cpl posts, some 4 x 6 stockade fence and clearance to work on/read the meter. Plant what stays green year round and in a cpl yrs you'll have something nice. Have seen copper pipe bent and installed as would be one of those dressing screens. Used single strands of wire to train the vines.
If you want quick, pound together some lattice and live with it's beauty.
Ask over at the Fine Gardening site. Am sure they've got a way to dress up anything. Do a search there and probably get some good info.
Best of luck.
