Anyone heard of Bad Dog Tools (www.baddogtools.com)? I saw them at a convention center tool show/sale a few months ago. I bought a set of drill bits that go through about anything. Some kind of special carbide. Drill glass, masonry, wood, plastic, composite, etc. For instance, I installed a vinyl frame and sash in a basement buck. Drilled through the steel frame and into the concrete for an anchor. Try that with any other bit (and have anything left at the tip). They’re guaranteed forever (they claim).
Also, bought the Bad Dog Biter. It’s a nibbler that fits on a drill. Real handy for remodeling sheet metal duct. It’ll even cut electrical junction boxes into pieces.

I wish I'd bought the biter. Instead I bought an air nibbler that works like it but my compressor can't keep up. Eventually I'll bite the bullet and buy theirs.
Smile. It could be worse. You could be me working for you.
Malco has a sweet shears out too. Check it out.
I bought the Bad Dog Bits about a year ago at a tool show - last hour of last day and the guy gave me a good deal.
So far I have had to have about 6 bits replaced. Don't know how they hold up through the things they do at the shows, I have had problems with the tips going just drilling in concrete block. They have been pretty good about replacing them though.
Could they be doing some sly thing like demonstrating with a different bit than they are selling? It's a rhetorical question, I know. I'm afraid I may becoming cynical.
I had similar problem with concrete block, old stuff. The bit just dulled up, a 1/4" hole for a lead shield. They resharpened it for free, just shipping. The only thing I could come up with when actually reading the directions was that I was going too slow - my 1/2" drill only goes to 850 rpm, and the directions say to stay above 2000. Maybe you need more speed to clear the chips.
Hope this helps. Rich.
Those nibblers look awesome, I'd been thinking of saving up for those DeWalt 12Volt cordless shears for cutting formica/frp/sheet metal but maybe those nibblers can hold me off for awhile.
Might make sense to order a couple of the bits to give them a try.
