I thought I’d ask you folks on this forum. I own a condo and to expand my living space want to install a balcony enclosure. What brand would you recommend? I figure contractor/builders would know the pitfals, features and flaws. I live in Reno, NV in a north-facing unit. We have a mild winter here, and direct sun will not be an issue. I’d like it to be somewhat energy efficient, but its not like Minneapolis, where I used to live. I’m moderately handy and have some handy friends. Is this a project that a DIYer could do, or is it best left to a pro? (At this point I’m thinking pro) Any comments appreciated.
Thanks, Fran

Have other people at your complex enclosed their balconies? If so, you should ask them about theirs and get recommendations from them. If they haven't enclosed their balconies, maybe it's because the condo association bylaws prohibit it. You might want to check if you haven't already.
Others have enclosed balconies. There are quite a few variations. Two are four seasons, some are home grown (against the rules but they've been left there).
