Personally I'd use a Stratocaster for rock and a banjo for country...but dats just me : )

I bought one at Home Depot ten years ago. Not sure of the brand. I only use it every two or three years and it is kind of messy but it does the job.
I probably don't know what I am missing as I have never tried others but anything is a lot better than taping without the banjo.
If no one else gives you a detailed opinion just buy whatever the local supply house stocks and I doubt you will be disappointed.
