I’m working on a project in a town house development. The basment walls are precast concrete and have what look like studs made out of cement fiber board with a little piece of wood on the end. I’ve never seen anything like them before. Any idea what they are?

The precast basement panels I've seen have studs cast as part of the concrete, like pilasters. A piece of wood is fastened to the face to serve as a nailer.

Thanks, that's exactly what they looked like. The plans at the building department didn't give a brand or show that studs and insulaton were part of the package.
