Two issues; water and wall removal.
I have a cape cod built around 1940. The basement leaks like a sieve. I’m planning to dig a trench around the interior wall leading to a sump pump.
I know exterior shielding would be better and I may do that eventually, but there are several issues w/that…
Anyway, since I’m looking at extensive work in the basement, I want to rip out a major load bearing wall. It is the side wall to the house. Cider block all the way up w/ brick exterior fro 1st fl up. My shop is now divided between two rooms; closed in heated garage with a 4 1/2″ concrete ceiling which was a porch but is now a finished addition, and a basement room. Each is ~ 11x 20. I’d like to take out the ~ 16′ of the wall in between. I know how to support the concrete slab and the floor above. But I’m not clear on how to support the wall itself(2 stories above) while I cut out the basement wall and install support beam.
Help?

I'm fairly certain that I've never seen this done -- undercutting the foundation beneath a two-story brick veneer wall.
I also would be leery of any plan to temporarily prop up a concrete slab.
Good luck.
Support our Troops. Bring them home. Now. And pray that at least some of the buildings in the green zone have flat roofs, with a stairway.
This is NOT a DIY job!
It might be doable, but it borders on the insane for anybody to try it without a good background and a good relationship with an engineer

Hire a company specializing in large bridges.
An LTV on the house should cover removing that wall.

There are three kinds of people: Predaters, Prey, and Paladins. The really strange thing is that Prey feels safer from Predators by disarming Paladins.
