Son’s tenth birthday is coming up and I want to put up a hoop for him to shoot at.
Does any on know of an adjustable height rim that can mount to a garage instead of a pole?
Pole is not an option as we have a tight lot and a retaining wall on the edge of the drive way.
Thanks in advance.

They are out there, you might try a google.
I've installed a couple First Team backboards made by, I believe, Iowa Sports Courts

Just a side note, since you already found what you want.
I put one up for my oldest Son a few years back. Trouble is, they keep lowering it down so it's easier to make baskets. I wish I'd mounted it a bit higher.
I also didn't put enough thought into where I was gonna put the thing. The post is at the top of a slope, so the ball rolls downhill away from them when they miss. That may not be a big deal on yours, but keep in mind they won't always hit the backboard when they throw.
And I didn't make the thing strong enough - Had no idea how much punishment the backboard would take.
Q: Why don't women blink during foreplay?
A: They don't have time.
Took today to install Little buddies hoop.
Nice Unit. well made, relatively easy install and good directions.
Here are some pics
Thanks for the Link CAG, I Ordered on friday and got it on tuesday.

Pretty sharp lookin' backboard setup. Is it pretty rigid?
Hope you and your little buddy get lots of use out of it.Men aren't pigs...pigs are gentle, cute creatures
Seems solid enough but with adjustability comes some sacrifice of rigidity.
It is also the least expensive combo offered.~150$
Wife won't let me get the ball out for some test hoops.
What are the odds My son won't look out back window till sunday??
Little bud has dads athletic abilities (white mans disease)(PC??)
So He most likely won't make it to the NBA
But he may end up playing for Kansas.

NBA or not, there's a lot to be said for a Dad putting up a hoop for his Son. Great American tradition or something. My wife's other car is a broom.
looks great, but i will put the over/under at 2 days until the window takes a crippling blow
Look closer!
Those verticals are painted Oak 1-1/4" square balusters I have been saving for 6 years.
Screwed to the outside of the door <6" o.c.
CAG- resisted spending an extra 30$ to have a Syracuse logo on the Backboard. Probably would have meant an extra week or two wait.

Well you can't make the little guy wait for his gift, but maybe next winter when its to snowy to use it, you can have it done.

I almost didn't catch that kansas remark, We'll see whos going where after saturday :) I actually hope we get to play you in the final game, that way I can rub it in for awhile when we whup ya... Or I guess vise/versa is possible, but I find it unlikely :-)
I'm with the other guy, either get bullet proof glass for those window pains, or put up some metal bars, either that or go now to your local glass shop now and have pieces cut to size so you have them when the inevitable does occur.
One last thing I remember from when I had mine, Rig it so it can NOT go down to dunk level, we tore 2 down as children before my dad made me pay for it if I wanted it back up.View ImageGo Jayhawks
C'mon CAG....it won't be an hour and he'll be jumping off a chair to dunk! I play quite a bit a ball...and I can grab the rim, but not enough to dunk. :( Oh how much fun it would be to play on a 9' rim for a couple of hours!
I'm on my 4th backboard now. Back in the day it was the rim that broke where it met the flatiron of the support. Now the bottom of the board snaps.
It is always when there are 9 kids in the backyard all hopped up on pizza and soda showing off to the occasional girl. someone shinnies up the pole or jumps off of something to crack the fiberglass/graphite/whatever.
Lesson learned. Just ignore it. Crud happens and they'll be off to college before you know it.
Anyone need a rim? I've got three.
Right now I'm fighting the impulse to cut, a 3 foot cable reel side, flat on the bottom and mount it up as the new backboard. (by now I've found it costs more to buy the backboard solo rather than with the rim) My question is would I embaras my kids too much with my industrial backboard?
I ALREADY HAVE THE CABLE REEL SIDE AT HOME. I DON'T EVPECT THE 4 INCH CENTER HOLE WILL AFFECT THEIR SHOOTING.
