The previous remodeler vented a bathroom fan through the soffit of my home. I have been told that this is not a very good way of venting a bathroom.
This is a half bath (no shower or tub). Is this acceptable for a half bath or should I exhaust the fan through a more conventional way ( roof or side vent).
One of my concerns with roof vents is the snow covering the cap.
ANy thoughts or comments on this?
Many thanks

The Potential problem is with moisture being blown out the vent and then immediately come back into the attic via the soffit roof vents.
Since this is a fart fan it won't be venting the moisture from a shower and it will typically be run much shorter periods of time.
Now the internal air being vented is still much moister than the outside during the winter. But there is a much less change of problems.
Look in the attic around that area and see if you see any signs of moisture.

A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
