I bought into this about a year ago on ebay. The seller was only about 45 miles from my house and I figured if it was a scam I could take a drive and, well, whine or something. I think I paid about $10. What I got a few days later was a booklet with tips on battery care and maintenance of all sorts of batteries, not just ni-cad. Well, to make a long story short, I have two 14.4 drills, one a Makita, the other Porter Cable. The fixit worked GREAT on the PC and about 40% on the Mak.THe PC was a NI-Cad and the Makita was the Nickel metal hidryde Since then, I bought a Li-ion Makita and the old drills have been retired.
