I ordered a Milwaukee 1/2″ hammer drill, model 5370-6 from International Tool out of Florida last week. I ordered the drill in a kit #5371-6. This was the drill, steel carrying case and 4 percussion bits. When it arrived it was the correct drill(looks new, not rebuilt) in a plastic carrying case with no bits.
When I went back to the IT website this kit I received(5371-21)was listed at $169.99 but I was charged the 5371-6 kit price of $182.99. I called the company today and the lady that answered in sales told me the 5371-6 was discontinued by Milwaukee. She wasn’t sure about the price of the kit I received so she had to call Milwaukee to get price. This struck me as odd since I told her the model # from the IT website and she said it didn’t come up on her computer. So she called Milwaukee then called me back and said the price of what I received was $169.99, which is what was on the website. She said she would credit the difference to my cc.
My point here is be careful you get what you order. I have never done business with International Tool before and I hope they credit my cc as they said they would, even though it is not a large amount of money. However, based on this experience I would be leery of doing business with them again. I have never had problems with any of the “big” tool companies like Amazon and I tend to buy most of my tools over the Internet.
