Past couple of days have brought some interesting stories to light.
Embarrassed Da Mayor AND the Building Commissioner.
First was the 19yr old newly hired Building Inspector, who wisely decided to quit (rate of pay almost 50k), after it came to light that in order to meet job qualifications he would have had to start the apprenticeship at age 13. Just happened to be the son of a Carpenter’s Union Local officer.
And today another son of a senior union official resigned his position for the same reason.
Come one, come all to Chicago and become a Building Inspector. There are 2 jobs available and you to have WAY more experience than these people.
Is it me or shouldn’t the City actually DOUBLECHECK the applications?
Is it me or isn’t lying, especially on a JOB APPLICATION, wrong?
Perfect beef stew, perfect meatloaf and perfect wine jelly.
