I am trimming out an arched window jamb in my house and was wondering of any special techniques in bending Asek. I have two such windows and the length of the Azek is 75 inches. I was able to get one of them bent and installed successfully but the second one broke when I power nailed it at the top in the middle. I thought that maybe it was cold and have since cut a new one and let it stay in the warmth overnight. My method on the first one was to cut to length, bend and insert in the jamb, nail in the middle then shim to get the correct reveal out to each side. I don’t want to break another one.
Thanks
Silas

If you could bend one of them cold then it shouldn't take a lot of heat to do another.
If you need to do more agressive bending than that, heat the material to 300º, you will be able to bend it anywhichways then. Be warned though as the material cools it shrinks a lot in all dimensions.
Azek sells a heat blanket kit just for this purpose, but I think it is kind of pricey. I built an oven out of plywood and electric baseboard heaters for heating azek, wich works real well.
