I clipped this from over at the JLC site, where JeffB, a regular there who does wonderful sequential picture stories of jobs, has posted three series of big-house framing jobs.
My question is for you guys that have done eyebrows like this. Is that bending plywood (wacky wood) that is used to sheathe the curves, or is it just a couple layers of thinner CDX?

That looks kinda like birch to me, maybe 3 layers of 1/4"?
I have used wiggle wood for fixtures and there is no way it would be a good structural material, at least not the stuff I used.
You're right, it does look like birch. And you're right about not using wacky wood outside or for structure. What was I thinking?
Structurally no....but I`ve used the bendable plywood outside, more than once with great results. I don`t think I`d use it as conventional roof decking, but I have used it on a barrel vaulted attic vent. We applied a copper roof, and have had no problems thus far after some ten years.
