I’ve just purchased a new utility trailer. It’s unpainted and the untreated SPF floorboards are loose. I’ll be painting the frame, and need advise on what to use to protect the floor. I’m in New Mexico where it’s dry with plenty of sun at 5000 ft.
Paint, sealer or ?

Paint the floor of the trailer with Herculiner bedliner. It can be bought by the gallon and rolled on. I did the bed of my truck with it and wish I had done the trailer before it became oil stained and dinged up. Because it's made for the open bed of pickup trucks it resists UV damage and provides great traction. It dries similar to the consitency of granular ice and water shield. IIRC, it's around $80/ gallon but well worth it.
Google Herculiner for their website and read all about it. I'm pretty sure you can order right through them. If you have an Autozone near you, I know that they stock it there. Sold in gallons and quarts in case you need a bit more than a gallon, you won't have to break the bank.
