A good milling machine like yours is the one thing I've never found under $1K ($1200 for a bridgeport is the best I've seen)
You have my vote for the best deal posted yet.
About 20 years ago I had to pass on a couple Bridgeports for $750 each because I had no place to put them.
One great garage sale find was a Bell & Howell Eyemo camera with two movements for $20.

betcha that was a 'paramount' garage sale!??
No, the company doesn't sell stuff like that. They did dumpster a bunch of VistaVision stuff after a basement flood, but other guys got there first.

What saw was that? I have an old 9" delta contractors saw, is it the same one.
I use it for dadoing now but I have several 9" blades that I'll never use. If he still has it I will send him some blades.

I used peruse yard sales alot when I was an antique dealer, but now I'm too busy meeting customers or building or doing the books or estimating...but here's some deals I've found over the last few years.
$40.00 -- 80's commercial grade Black and Decker circular saw, still in service. Nice saw.
25.00 -- Magnesium case 60's vintage Black and Decker 6" circular saw, I dropped it one day and cracked the guard, gotta get it fixed,. I liked that little bugger.
75.00 -- 50's vintage cast craftsman (don't drop it on yer foot!) 9" table saw, with book, mitre and straight fences and extra blades, works great.
"TAKE IT AWAY FROM HERE" -- an old who knows what date craftsman scroll saw, new blade and she goes.
$5 -- three steel army style gas cans
$40 -- a vintage brass and steel builder's level with dovetailed box, levels and sight still good.
$35 -- Three 1920's AUdel's builder's books (Mathematics for Builders and Volumes and 1 and 2). Yeah, laugh, but old builder's books are great for remodel work on old houses when you want to find old techniques.
$100 - A KargoMaster rack for my truck.
God Bless people who pay retail for everything and are happy to let po' little folks like me scarf up their stuff for what they think is little money.
Well a bud of mine just gave me a high end tred mill cuz he's cleaning out his garage gave my boy a lap top and me a bunch of tool boxes. i cant wait to see what He downsizes next hehehe
"I mean, what kind of a twit makes a big deal out of having someone on ignore?
And, OTOH, there is no doubt that some of the idjits here are, in fact, the most ignored"
Hmm,
- Best garage sale item? 150' of 1.25 nylon rope - $5 - wasn't even for sale! (wink)
- My 1988 volvo wagon backup vehicle, 307K miles - $100

Free? OMG
- 32" Sony color TV (needed adj) I have never, ever, purchased a TV or VCR.
- Washer, fridge, dishwasher.
- 2 YO Kenmore dryer, repair guy couldn't fix it (I removed the belt sensor, works fine)
- 6" Delta jointer
- 12" bench vice
- Contractors air compressor, used 3 times (needed oil & a break in. DOH!)
- 6' square Thermospa (all joints were freeze-cracked, lotta glue fixed it)
- Large pile of stereo equip........ works.
- Old Craftsman floor standing drill press. Don't laugh, they're the most perpendicular according to the machinist that gave it to me.
Basically, people know I fix stuff and just give things to me.......
