I’m painting the interior of a house for resale, so coverage and cost are considerations. Was using MAB Freshkote last year until it didn’t seem to cover as well. Went to Behr and am now having the same problem. Guess they are cheapening the forumulas.
What’s working well for folks these days?
Thanks

did you use a primer and two coats if the color change is very substantial?
SW Pro Mar 400 is a good affordable paint.
I was pleasantly pleased with Valspar "American Traditions" High Hiding Primer as a cheap first coat--covered a bright pink so well that I couldn't tell it from a blue wall I had used regular primer on. Got it at Lowes.
The current issue of Consumer Reports contains an article on interior paints and discusses your question at length.
Behr works just fine for me ...
cheapest with good coverage ... Martha Stewart from K Mart .... covers really well ... applies nice ... really a good paint.
Best color for resale ... white.

What's your time worth? If a premium paint saves you a second coat, does that save enough time to pay the premium?
any brand, have them tint the primer to match the color coat, hides better, richens the appearance
