What do you all think is the best order of subs.
Will be mostly wood floors.
Painter can prime before trim and flooring.

You got subs who will arrive according to schedule and in order?
What level of nirvanna is that?
Well you know I like to start with a plan and watch it fail miserably but that's just me!

Hmmm good question.
Priming it all first is fine and dandy.
Floors first.
Protect floor field with rosin paper and more if needed.
Trim carpentry... can be done concurrently with electrical.
Then paint?
Not sure what to do as far as kitchen/baths.
Handyman, painter, wood floor refinisher, property maintenance in Tulsa, OK
before floors...
even before hang'n doors after drywall...
prime everything... and go ahead and paint ceilings (this is for spraying) but i guess it'd be ok for roll'n but works for me for spray'n
then bathroom tile (if it's part of the plan)
then floors, then doors, then trim, i like to preprime all trim & doors before install... again spray'n... i'll go ahead and paint trim while it's all laid out for spray'n and then one coat it after the install...
is this the right order? i work slow and it's kinda the natural order for me... and makes things roll fast once i start put'n it together...
who knows :)

My last job- greatroom addition, bathroom, exercise room, kitchenette
w/ hardwood floors, ceramic tile, granite tops
After drywall, painter sprayed the drywall with 2 coats of latex and prefinished the trim offsite.
Then flooring guys came in and laid hardwood with one coat sealer and one coat poly. I set ceramic tile
Cab guy installs his custom cabs, then granite template immediately after.
Install trim- stain grade (prefinished) upstairs, LL bath paint grade.
Painters return to prime and paint LL trim and stain/varnish upper windows. Then elec- to plug and switch and hang lights.
Then plumber to set fixtures (easier for them to do when they have lighting)
HVAC trimout
Set granite tops
painters touch up/ and I punchout project
Last thing to do is final coat on the floor. I want the floor guys to literally be the last people in there before you turn it over to the HO. You don't want to put little scratches or scuffs on the floor while installing that last switchplate and then have the owner want another coat on the floor.
I probably forgot a few steps in there, but the one thing I have learned is to space your subs out whenever possible. It tends to irritate them when they trip over each other all trying to trimout a bathroom on the same day.

That sounds pretty much like my ideal order. I like the sand-and-seal on the floor, then final coat after everyone is done. Nothing like electricians leaving a bunch of wire ends to get ground into a supposedly finished floor.
Painters touchup after granite is also necessary, 'cause they always ding something.
or they try to fit a 6' slab into a 3 sided alcove and pretty much remove all the paint and texture from the wall. BTDT.

Can only tell you what works best in the world of kitchen designers. I like to be one of the last people on the site working. I need most stuff in and most trades out of the way for the projects I do.
Around here, painting starts after s/r, the trim generally gets done after, then the major plumbing not already in gets set, then flooring.
I like to start after the flooring is down (doesn't always happen) so that we don't have to worry about shimming up to the finished floor level, and I don't have to fix gouges and scrapes in the cabinets. If it's a site-finished hardwood, we won't start until after it's done. No way I'm putting in cabinets again knowing that's still to be done.
Once we install, the tops are templated and then installed. On houses I've worked on in this area, by that time pretty much everything else is done on the inside of the house except for touch up and final adjustments. We do the punch list and touch up knowing that the next thing happening on the interior is clean-up for showing.
