I have installed a marble pastry counter in my new kitchen. It will not be for everyday use but I want to seal it to help reduce the chance of staining from a misplace wine glass or pot. Our local Home Depot had about six defferent sealers ranging from $7.50/qt to over $30/qt, both water based and solvent based.
Does anyone have any recommendations about sealers? Particularly the water vs. solvent based materials.
Thanks,
Dave

well this will be a highly technical answer, so pull up a chair. i bought the 30. one because it cost more it's got to be better ,don't it? anyway a qt bottle will last many years. i have about 80 sq ft of granite, takes maybe 2 oz to do once a year.larry
hand me the chainsaw, i need to trim the casing just a hair.
