I need some purchasing advice. In the past, I’ve always used those cheap self-contained bathroom exhaust fans from the big box stores. However, you guys have a done a lot to educate me about the need to manage moisture and avoid mold.
My remodel includes one bath with a tub/shower combo, one bath with a 5′ shower stall, and a whirlpool tub in the adjacent room. Were talking three rooms very close together and a total of 300 square feet…give or take a few feet.
I’ve done some preliminary research and what I’m finding seems to indicate that most remote units are limited to two bathrooms at the most. Is this incorrect, or could I simply incorporate an additional “Y” adaptor to serve three locations?
I suspect that I need about 300 cfm’s, but I’d like to utilize one remote fan, three inlets, one exhaust outlet through the roof, and a humidistat with a manual overide in each of the three rooms being vented. Is this doable?
Thanks in advance for any enlightenment or advice.

Ok, one more question about this. If I install one central fan that has a 6" inlet, and connect three baths to it, does that mean I need to run 6" ducts out to each bath? I'm thinking that 4" distribution ducts would create a better draw since we're talking multiple connections. Am I wrong? New knowledge is priceless.

Don't know.
When I did my sisters I had installation questions and called American. They were very good...buic
Forrest beat me to it, I was going to recommend the same company.
Used them in my sisters home and she's very happy with it...buic
We install Fantechs all the time. Sometimes do two baths with one fan, never done three, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
The humidistat is a good idea. You can also put the fans on a timer.
