best way is to install blocking for nailing before the sheetrock..
if it's too late for that...
construction adhesive and angled finish nails into the sheetrock....
you can also use trim screws....
practise..practise... practise (trim the closets first)
*this is time consuming but works very wellCrown- Cut Blocking to match angle of back of crownie 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 x 3" long, fasten to studs w/ 3" dw screws, finish nail as normalBase- construction adhesive finish screw in bottom behind shoe molding, finish screw in every other stud @ top and have fun w/ the putty
*cut drywall about 1 inch lower than base profile, screw in plywood to studs ( same thickness as drywall ) install base with finish nails. you may want to run this by your building inspector or architect to make sure you are not compromising any fire walls etc.
