Deals spotted today –I don’t know if these are local only or how long they will go on.
Lowes – selling the entire line of DeWalt 12″ compound miter saws for 50% off normal. Single compound, Double compound and slider – all at 50%. This puts the price of the slider at ~ $325.
Home Depot – not as good a deal but, they have been selling Ryobi’s new 18v Lith Ion battery + charger for $99. for some time. Today I saw the 18v Lith Ion drill + one battery + charger for $79. – sitting right next to the battery and charger still at $99. Ryobi’s 18v Lith Ion battery will fit any of the older 18v tools.
Thought somebody might be interested.

BIL bought the slider today.
Suggest going early - tomorrow is Super Saturday or some such name - the last Saturday before Christmas - beat all of the women in there looking for something for hubby.

I've got the 708 slider so I couldnt justify the new slider but i'd like another 12" for smaller jobs.
It must be a regional sale,I just checked my local Lowes (S.E. Pa.) and the sale is only $ 50.00 off, not 50% for all miter saws, so I'll pass for now.
